Gotta keep them pinion bearings happy ya know!!!!!
I totally agree with you here especially on a lifted TJ. But, on an axle that hasn't been rotated, filling up to the fill hole of a diff cover like SOLID makes will cause your gear oil to spew out of the breather. Trust me, I speak from experience here

Here, this image should help people understand what I'm talking about...

If you fill up to the fill hole on an axle that has not been rotated up, you will have gear oil coming out of your breather tube.

Based on the diff cover you show I would agree with you. I guess all in all it would depend on the actual diff cover. I have Cranes on mine and fill plug isn't that high.

Another thing to remember is if you have a Dana 30 front, I'm pretty sure the capacity is less than the D44. Seems like it's about 1/2 quart less, but don't quote me.

it really is about how much that axle can take. If you over fill the axle it will create a pressure inside the axle which will then push it out of the vent tube.

If you have to see for yourself fill those puppies up just keep some cat litter with you to clean up the oil slick.

The Rock Crusher 44 is designed around the High Pinion 44, according to Grant.

I got a rockcrusher front and SOLID rear. Both are unpainted I believe, so you can choose the color. I have a nifty idea for mine and will post pictures when I get them done.
