They help with articulation of the axle. Like when you'll see guys "flexing" or having one wheel up on a tall object and the other on the ground. This will help with more uneven terrain when you go wheeling. Keeps the jeep level

Most will work fine for you. They just makes it easy with the quick discos. All they do is disconnect the links on your sway bar to allow more flex/droop. You can do this with a wrench and zip tie them out of your way for free when on your next wheeling trip to try it out. Just don't run that way on the road... Too unstable for my taste. Makes a big difference.

And this is ok? Just unbolt them and zip tie them up and out of the way? And before gettin back on road bolt them back up? Everything will line right back?

I want to make my own disconnects, and I was wondering g what the bolt sizes are for them? I know I could just go look, but I was wondering if anyone could just give me some info. Also, what grade is the hard ware used?

Thanks!

Yeah most unbolt the lower mount, then raise the link and ziptie it out of the way along with the swaybar. When you go to bolt them back up, you may need a buddy to push down or rock the jeep to get the link to line up with the bolt location. It also helps to turn the wheel towards the side you want to remount for more room to maneuver and if you're on a slight downslope it's easier to re-align. Once you get the one side done, the other usually bolts up fairly easy.

Tip: Keep the swaybar horizontal when you ziptie it in place... prevents the possibility of puncturing the tire when flexing. It's rare, but it happens.

The teraflex ones are about $130. They are really nice since they come with a perch to fasten them to the upper body mount when you disconnect the sway bar.

I just ordered the terra flex ones. I disconnected a few times manually and it was a B. two wretches, 10 minutes. I can't wait til I get the quick discos. I'll update on Friday when they're installed.
