I'm running KM2's with no problems. Completed a three week 5,600 mile road trip with half the time spent wheeling in Colorado and Moab. Plus they wear like iron.

What kind of wear are those seeing with the MTR?

20K is not normal wear, I'm sorry but for 350 a tire I expect them to last a little more than a year. And yes I rotated every 4K or less and chalked my air pressure so they were dead on the whole time. I don't drive a ton of highway and felt these tires should of lasted at least 30K.

I voted Nitto. I had km2 in the past and had about 12000 miles on them and was well under 50% tread. They had absolutely terrible wear for me.

I am very happy with the BFG KM2, but it sounds like you may want to look in to the BFG AT. I think the AT is the best off-road/street tire made.

Agreed on the BFG AT. Mine are 15k in and look brand new. I get 20-22 MPG on highway and 18 average. Great AT tire!

I put 25k on my MTRs so far and still have a long way to go. No issues here. They seem to be a great tire.

another for mt/r's. Got a set on my Tacoma and another set about to go on the Jeep. Haven't had a problem with balancing on the Tacoma and hopefully won't when I mount the ones for the Jeep. Overall, I'm happy with them which is why I bought a second set of them for the Jeep. Trail Grapplers are pretty good from what I hear.

I just picked up MTR-K's and I have to say they balanced great (with the exception of one tire needed 6 oz so they gave me a new one instead for free) but they are super quiet on the road for an MT tire, and grip seems amazing, time will tell on wear

This is my first set of the MTRs with Kevlar, but the other 3 sets of the old style had about 1/3 of the tread left after 28k, I actually sold the last set to a friend for $200 for his cj and he's still running them. The old style were noisy after about 24k and I was going on a 1200 mile road trip up north, so I wanted new ones for the quiet ride.
