I voted for KM2's. I went through the same decision making that you are going through now, except the MTR-K was my 3rd place choice, not the the Nitto TG. Price won out in the end in BFG vs Nitto.

My vote was BFG KM2's - I have about 20K on mine and NO issues, the Jeep is my DD and trail rider and these tires rock for both.

Every set of Good Years I have ever had have worn unevenly, and the MTR/K is only a C load rating for the 35-12.5-17. If you have a 4 door I wouldn't go down to that load rating. I've never heard anyone say anything bad about the KM2's other that they run a little small, but what tire doesn't?

Default KM2 and couldn't be happier

I have the BFG KM2 and love them. Have a little of 10k miles and still look brand new. Do a lot of street driving and go rock climbing atleast 2 times a month. Great tire. Before I locked my JK i could go everywhere, plus a little that my friends rubicon would go locked with the MTRs. We both aired down to 8 psi also. His tires are also chunking and tearing apart easily on the treads. I must admit, Im going to be selling my KM2s very soon though and going with Swamper SXs My jeep doesn't do much road travel anymore and want more tire.

Anyone getting 20k out of a set of any street compound tire has some alignment issues, no matter what they say. I got 25k out of a set of soft compound krawlers on my TJ Rubi.

You are absolutely correct. BFG at would be your best choice if the jeep won't see snow or rock. Wear well and work good in the mud for an all terrain tire.

I voted the MTR's. Been running my set for around 25k and have very even wear. Running my spare in at every rotation and am getting the extra 20% out of the lot. Balancing wasn't an issue in the slightest.... but maybe I got lucky and got a great set. This winter will be the first snow they see, but I'm sure I wont be disappointed.

Well right now its a tie between the Nittos and BFG's. Only problem is the BFG's are on national back-order . I've been told different stories by a few different suppliers. Some say a few months while some say they have no clue.

Anyone have comments for the Pro Comp tires, mainly the extreme M/T?
