Default KM2's

Two Questions:

1) With the KM2's on National Backorder, where is the best place to find them online? I live in Louisiana, there are no Big O Tire stores near me.

2) What kind of "ACTUAL" diameters are those with 35x12.50x17 KM2's getting. BFG states they should be 34.8" but I hear alot of people say they are undersized. How undersized are they?

First one was Sears, so I chalked it up on their fault the other two times were dedicated 4x4 places that are well respected and couldn't get them to balance correctly. I'm pretty sure it's the tire and not the places they are being mounted. I've also noticed that it doesn't happen as much with the larger sizes basically just the 35's and smaller. So who knows... but wither way it left a bad taste in my mouth as far as quality and performance goes.

I worked for discount tire for 5 yrs and giving you a technicians outlook I can honestly say when it came to larger tires, Goodyear were always a real pain in the butt to balance and BFGs were always better when it came to owning up to a customer's expectations. You also have to consider the fact that a mudder will never balance perfectly and it only gets worse as they wear. If you are real concerned with ride quality and don't want to lose any size i would consider going to an all terrain.

I run 35x12.50r17 KM2s and love them... Ride amazing and people compliment all the time and I do 60+ mph on a regular basis to and from work. They don't measure quite 35" but they're easily over 34"(whose gonna notice less than an inch?? if that much)

Also you might consider how wide a wheel you are running. I run a 8.5" and the tires fit very nicely. But if u run anything over 9.5 it'll stretch the tire and it wont sit up as high.

1. The Nationwide directory I got from Big O Tire shows places where I can get my tires serviced all over the country. The stores in Louisiana are called Tire Kingdom. It shows 16 stores in Louisiana. I don't know if they all use the same warehouses, but it's worth a shot. I used the Big O in Terre Haute, IN. The tires I got last week were probably in a warehouse in Indianapolis.

2. I put mine on 17x9" wheels and they measure about 34 1/8" across at 35# pressure.

Has anyone that's had the balancing issues tried using the internal balancing beads? Dyna bead I believe is the name of one company. I think there are others also. I read on motorcycle forum about guys using BB's also. I don't know if you can use them if you are still using your TPMS though.

305 70 17 MTR's (34) with zero issues (including balancing).

Those tires are worth their weight in GOLD. On more than one occasion I have went up a line where people followed my line with both KM's and Nitto's only to cut or blow a sidewall.

Their deflection aired down to 9 psi allowing the sidewall tread to bite is incredible. I have a thread on here somewhere of our JK climbing a rock with photos my wife captured of in action.

I love those tires, even with a open diff on the front Dana and posi rear it can climb and pull leaps and bounds. Have made it over obstacles that have held up buddies with front lockers and close tire size.

They are costly but as far as I am concerned, worth every penny.

Might be a moot point since, I think most MT/R's are on a nuclear backorder due to their popularity.

They are noisy but, it's a trade off for what I consider the finest all purpose tire available.

Found the pics of the MT/R deflection in action

Looking at the LF tire, it's pretty wild how much it changes and bows out under a heavy torque load.

Then right back to normal within a fraction of a second
