Have had my Nitto Trail Grapplers since March. Very aggressive looking tire but still quiet on pavement. Worked well climbing some wet rocks after small stream crossing last time out wheelin.

Balanced easily with zero issues. I'm very happy with my choice.

Km2's are a good tire but they're not that good.

I can only call it how I see it. I was able to climb hills at URE after a soaking rain with my KM2s with open diffs in 2wd, that my buddy couldn't unless he was in 4wd, locked, and aired down MTRs.

I wouldn't do the MTR-Ks again, at least in the same size. Balancing issues, which were remedied but the bigger problem is getting the 35x12.5x17s inflated at a point where they would promote good tread wear and minimize sidewall sway. Just too light of a tire and if anything I would buy their 35s with an 18" wheel.

What PSI did you find worked. I'm running 28 right now in my MT/R's but haven't put a lot of miles on.

Why would you do 18's for the E load rating? I think the 315/17" is a D load rating IIRC.

Let me re-phrase...I believe it happened my BS wasn't on that. I just think the KM2 and the MT/R's are both very good tires, especially off road. I can't see the tire being the main difference in your scenario. If all the drivers were similarly skilled and took similar lines then i stand corrected.

I do really like my MT/R's. I have not had a balancing issue yet...hopefully won't. They ride nice for the type tire they are, not too noisy at all. I think they perform Very well offroad. Great on the rocks. Compared to my Duratracs...night and day.

I have nearly 100,000kms on my 35x12.5x17" KM2's with still lots of tread left. It looks like I might be able to get another 100,000kms if I don't upsize to 37x12.5x17" before then. These tires are used for daily driving and weekend offroad trips.

I have the MTRK and they are great in the mud and rocks however I have had a ton of balancing issues . They go out of balance in about 2 weeks. Discount told me the mud terrains don't hold balance. I have tried road force and serveral others and they never stay in balance and ride smooth anymore. I have even taken them toseveral stores for different machines and still no luck At about 19K they are at about 30% tread left.

I don't know who you guys are using to balance those MTRs, but maybe it's time to change! Five sets, and I've yet to balance mine other than when I buy them.
