Adding a locker will definitely put moe stress on the other components and will be more prone to breaking if the compenents are not upgraded. There is no longer an easy escape (the open or spinning wheel) for built up energy when you have a locker. And yes, we have all heard the argument that one with a locker can take it easier with less wheel spin, but this does not hold true in many cases.
yep, i agree. i am leaning toward an arb locker, superior gears, 10factory chromo axle shafts, reel 1310 cv driveshafts, and possibly the evo gussets.
