just read the Q/A's on rims and tires. very helpful. it states the back spacing on all stock rims to be 6.25". what about off set, is there any offset on a stock rim, if so what is it and what are people running for back spacing and offset for 10" wide by 16" so that you don't have to worry about wheel spacers. want to run 35"x12.50

Offset rims means the back spacing for the front rims is diffrent than the backspacing for the rear rims.
just run 3.75 BSto4.25 BS and you will be fine
I run 4"BS on 8" rims and it works perfectly with 35x12.5s

thanks alot, still wondering about 10" rims. read the section for newbies on rims and tires and you wil see that offset is the location of the mounting surface in regards to the center line of the rim.
The real question is how large a tire you want to run. For 12.5" tires you want backspacing of 4.5 to 4.75". Factory wheels are 7.5" wide with a 6.25" backspace. Adding 1.5" wheel spacers changes the backspaceing of the stock wheels to 4.75".

maybe just putting to much thought into it. is that what happens when you understand all aspects of the suspension/steering geometry. i guess ya gota trade some good for bad going up in tire size

ehhhhhh!!!!! i'm not alone. i've only got one chance to buy rims and i want the right ones. a little rubbing is ok to me, i'm more worried about getting my scrub radius as close to center as possible so it drives ok.
