does a stock rim have offset???

WOW... I feel more stupid, less alone, and think I'm leaning towards the Rugged Ridge Black alloys made specifically for JK's that ARE HUB centric with seemingly the correct back spacing to handle 12.5" wide tires. They aren't cheap but seem like could be the answer.Yeah, that's it... or maybe not....
did I say WOW yet???

i basicaly just wanted to keep the same backspacing and offset of the stock jk and add a 10" wide rim with 35" tires. thanks to all this info i understand that a 10" rim with 6.25" backspacing would fit but wouldn't be able to turn much. that sucks a bit because aside from the scrub radius change the rim isn't centered over the bearing wich adds stress to the bearing.
Look at the chart. +10 would be between the +6 and +12, or 5" (+6) and 5.5" (+12), therefore, it would be between 5" and 5.25 " of backspacing, closer to the latter which shoud be fine. My first set of wheel in my first Jk were 5.25" of B.S. and they had no rubbing issues with 35x12.50 Nittos. My second set of wheels were 3.75" of B.S. so they stuck out.
That's not possible. Honestly, I don't even know if the wheel would go on there, the tires would be tucked way underneath the flairs, and there would be no control arm/frame room. You have to move them out when you go with wider tires, meaing you have to decreae the backspacing of a wheel. Backspacing and offfset are two different things but correlate to each other per the chart I posted earlier.

Don't mean to sound like a smart ass, but can you not look at the chart and get an estimate?

Mechanically, nothing is changed, however, it might not be a bad idea b/c it changes your track width. That being said though, I put 12K miles on my Unlimited and never aligned it after lift and 35's afor either set of wheels. Lifting it does not change your alignment, just the camber if you don't have adjustable arms.
Poision Spyder's with 3.75"
