Driveshaft Install
Does anyone have any write-ups and/or pics of doing a rear install of the rear driveshaft. From talking to the J.E. Reel shop I will be chaning the flanges on the diff and transfercase. I'm just trying to figure out what I'm getting myself into. Anyhelp or input is much appreciated.
Thanks

I put in front and rear JE Reel 1350's on my JK with no problem. It's an easy install. I replaced the flanges on the transfer case but did not need to change the flanges on the diff's, but you may have a different application.
The most trouble you will have is with the nuts that hold the flanges on the x-fer case. If you have an impact wrench then you'll make quick work of them. If not a long breaker bar on a ratchet helps. If you have trouble getting them off I have heard some will actually roll the Jeep back while bracing the wrench on something.
The rest of t he install is just removing and tightening bolts. If you have the double cardon u-joint, that goes on the x-fer case side.
