A word from my own personal experience with SkyJacker. I have the 4 inch lift that came with the track bar relocation brackets front and rear. While driving down a dirt road I hit a few pot holes and experienced a sudden death wobble. As I got out and inspected it turns out the track bar/steering stabalizer mount broke right off my axle housing. Not a very fun drive back to town doing 5 MPH. Anyways I had a frame shop but the bracket back on the axle and reinforce the crap out of it. I then immediatly threw out the track bar relocation brackets and invested in a set of BDS Adjustable track bars to bring everything back to the stock mounts. The Jeep drives way better and it fixed the occasion ESP problems I was having going around sharp corners. If you plan on getting the SkyJacker lift then I recommend putting in an adjustable track bar front and back while doing the lift.

Was it your front or rear? The newer Skyjacker kits are different in the rear but I'm not sure about the front

It was the front mount. I replaced them both after this happend just to be safe. I don't trust the shitty weld jobs that the factory bracket has on the back after the front broke clear off. I had a look at the new skyjacker kit and the front and rear relocation brackets I have are the same ones that are in the new kit.

Default Hoo boy!?

Drag links and track bars need to be parallell to eliminate bump-steer...........

How can an adjustable track bar help with this....... It centers the axle, right?!

Reading through this thread it sounds like the two get confused. I know you should help out larger lifts like mine, with a high steer drag link bracket, or a dropped pitman arm. But this thing where guys make it sound as though an adjustable track bar fixes bump steer confuses me? Clarity please?

Thanks

Paul

Default Anybody?

Hey guys, anyone want to weigh in on this ? I don't see how an adjustable track bar will have the same effect of making the drag link parallell?

Thanks

Default Thanks..........................

Your explanation makes sense, and really brought the mechanics and geometry of what is happening there home.

Thanks for taking the time to put it all down for me!
