It creates mutiple error codes which are reset once you flip the switch back and restart.

I intercepted mine as it come from the console to the dash...

Put the switch in my dash ( the first one deeper red) next to my locker switches.

Ok so I'm having trouble understanding this wiring. Be easy on me guys, I'm definitely terrible at all electrical concepts. Ok so you cut the wire and attach more wire to both cut ends. There should be 3 prongs on a toggle switch so what wires go where? Obviously you have to ground it so I guess I'm asking what goes on the power-in and power-out prongs? Thanks

You won't need a three prong switch unless your going to use an illuminated switch. Just use a simple two prong switch and put it in series with the wire. In other words, use the switch as a bridge between the two sides of the once cut wire.
It will look like this:

XXXXXXXXX(wire) / (prong 1)*SWITCH*(prong 2) / xxxxxxxx (wire)

So you use a 2 prong switch and just attach the wires to the two prongs? What do you do if you want an illuminated switch?
