I had the same problem with my mbrp exhaust... I took an old cookie sheet that was double walled with an air gap in between, bent and cut to shape, then bolted it right to the evap can with it's existing frame bolts. It's been almost a year and no melting.

To give you an idea of how food it works, I checked it last week and the muffle side of the shield was too hot to even touch and the evap can side was cool. And itwas free!

Bracket came in...although it was the RockHard instead of the PureJeep. Dave gave me some credit on my next order for the oopsie daisy.

Going to do the install tonight and hopefully be listening to the sweet sounds of the Dynomax by weeks end.

Relocate it or a heat shield. Mine was ok when driving around town but on a long trip it burned a hole in the evap canister. I just relocated it with the Pure Jeep kit a few weeks ago. Nice location and very easy to install.

I will be driving all over AZ the next few days on the JK Experience Weekender in our 4 door JK with our "rockcrawler" system on it, then I will drive from AZ to NM to meet up with our driver to get the JK back East. Will report if any problems, not expecting any.

I've been on some hour long trips in my jeep, and my evap still looks fine.

Thought I'd follow up on this. Evap relocated without issue (well a slight clunk that had to be addressed with some double stick tape due to some play between the can and the bracket). Dynomax installed.

I have to admit the Dynomax is one of my favorite mods to date. It gives the Jeep the sound it was missing. Sounds real nice at idle and cleans up the back of the Jeep.
