Default Evap relocation install question?

i was on the jeepswag site this morning and started to read the instructions for the evap relo---

i got to the part about sparks, smoke, fuel & warnings and started to think this may be above my skill level..

what is that kaboon stuff all about?

what is an evap canister anyway?

if i go with with a muffler in the off road position, will a heat sheild on the muffler or a skid plate do the job? or do i need to relocate the muffler?

thanks
steve

Evap canister collects all the fuel vapor from the gas tank and stores it. It is purged into the engine and used while it's running. Name for it is "evaporative emissions (hydrocarbons) canister". Sloshing, lower levels and heat make that fuel want to vaporize, have to keep that from floatin around.

I was going to do the same, but chickened out. I got a Poison Spyder Evap Skid that actually lifts the evap 1/4 inches higher for a little more clearance. Its solid as granite.

don't worry about it being too hard, it's not really that bad.

I did mine when i did my change to a Jeepswag muffler kit too.

Love them both.
