Default AEV High Steer and EVO C2 Gussets

I installed the Gussets first then I had ordered the high steer not even thinking about if they were compatable or not. If I had it to do over again I think I would have done the High Steer first then moved to the gussets. You would then be able to trim the Gussets to fit over the high steer. Then I would be a little worried about the integrity that the Gussets are suppose to provide if the brackets for the high steer were installed first. I really only had the one option though. This kit is really made up to work with their lift kits. In the lift kit package they sell you extended rear sway bar links and you move the OEM rear sway bar links to the front. They are still a couple inches short for the front end so they incorporated a little more extension in the brackets for the high steer to move the sway bar link a couple inches higher. Here is a pic of what the kit is suppose to look like installed.

Now since the bracket that wraps around the original sway bar link mount and meets the axle only wraps around so you can move the sway bar link up higher I decided to cut that part off the bracket. Its a little hard to explain where I cut so I have some pics. The first pic is of my front end after the brackets have been installed. The second pic I drew some arrows where I made the cut. I also never used the drivers side bracket that comes in the kit because it is only there to raise the drivers side sway bar link to match the passenger side link which is the part I cut off and left installed in its factory bracket.

If you have any questions just ask, I am sure I missed a million things or made it confusing somewhere. By the way this is before I did the drag link flip. I was just posting the interference between the brackets and the C2 Gussets.

Hey check out ScreaminLizard,s build up with an 4.5 AEV lift with C gussets. They had to fabricate a part and do some welding to perfect the build since the the trac bar bracket, C gussets and the shock relocation don't jive. Its in the show and tell under tony t"s build up by SLC Customs.

Found this thread in a search. My passenger side "C" is def bent. Tire has very noticable camber. Will be doing the gussets, but is there any way to fix this back to stock or an aftermarket complete replacement other than entire new axle?

i don't know if there are any available for the JK yet but if they are, you should be able to install a set of offset ball joints to fix your camber. i've seen jegs have them listed on their website but i don't know if they will work for sure.
