well i got pulled over twice as i posted in anthor thread for tires sticking out so... i went to quadratec and got the wide xenon flat fenders . i figured the wide ones would cover the tires, but not really their still is a good 2 inches or so sticking out . so im not sure what to do .. i have to get the flares to cover the tires to be able to keep them.. anyone have any ideas ? i saw this stuff at quadratec http://www.quadratec.com/products/92510_101.htm but not sure if it would work or look ok with the xenons? it would be nice to find someone to make some custom steel flares. or extend these with a spacer or something to push the whole flare out a inch or two. whatever i do i gotta get the tires covered and i only have a couple weeks to do it.got a repair ticket . thanks for any help im sure their is some solution , here some pics. thanks alote !

I would put stock flares back on to get the width and trim them off at the edge to keep the rubbing down.

Or check out the jeep in this picture, I think he has Bushwacker Flares covering his 37's.

 

thanks for the idea but the stock ones are about 2 inches narrower than the wide xenons i got . so that really wont help.. tried the bushwackers also they are about the same as the wide xenons.. so im not sure what to do , besides try and extend these but not sure how to make it look ok doing that.. whata mess..

 

Here is what i would do. Go find some rubber about 1/4 inch thick by however wide it needs to be. get some spray adhesive....... no, wait, here me out.......... stick the rubber to the fenders so that it covers the tires. after you get the "fix ticket" cleared up peel the crap off clean the adhesive of with MEK then spray them like you did the narrow flares. after that go about your business. if a cop stops you again, when you are talking to him, position yourself in front of the dash cam facing the cop car. Make sure the cops back is facing the dash cam and after you talk to him for a while just yell out, "WHAT, hell no i will not perform oral sex on you. I dont wanna get out of the ticket that bad........" you can throw some of your own stuff in there too. tell him that you are gonna bring him up on charges. He will probably taze you or beat you with the billy stick, but hey its worth a try.

Not sure what the law is that your having issues with. What about adding some removable mud flaps?

 

im having problems with the fender flares law in maryland that says the flares have to complety cover the tires.. i hate it

 

I live in the same area as you do and (knock on wood) I have never had anything said to me. Who did you piss off. State, Sheriff or town clown

yeah Ive seen ya around nice looking jeep .. your tires stick out at all ? two different state troopers pulled me over.. first on didn't say much about the flares loved the jeep ! just didn't like the window tint.. but the second one had a big problem with everything .... especially the tires sticking out
