Firestone Destination???
Again, a little off topic, but I had Destination AT's on my TJ before I traded it off. Probably had about 25k on them when I traded. Never a problem keeping a balance and the Firestone dealership was great to work with.
At the same time I bought the Destination ATs, bought some Bridgestones (Dueler H/T?) for my wife's 2002 WJ. Those tires kick the crap out of the "junk" Goodyear Wrangler STs that came stock. I ended up trading in the Wrangler STs because I got scared to death whenever it rained and worried about my wife's safety. Not to mention the "Starsky and Hutch Squeal" I got when going a whopping five miles in hour in a parking lot... got tired of the stares from the old ladies and kids.
I too thought I'd never buy a set of Firestones after the Ford Explorer issue and a bad set of Firestone 721s my dad had on his El Camino when I was a kid.
But time moves on and Firestone makes a pretty good time now, IMHO. I like the Bridgestones that came stock on my Sahara 18's and I'm glad I got the wheel upgrade, just so I didn't get the stock Goodyears.
Now back to the regularly scheduled thread...

I had a set of destination at's on my tj for 40k+ when I traded it in. These are great street tires, not much for mud but great for the street. Made the tj feel like a fullsize truck, no more wander like the gsa's or BF at's. I havent tried the mt's yet but I'm looking at them to replace my GY mtr's(which wear real fast).
