Default To Flat Fender or Not ??

Here is how Jeep sits currently.. 2.5 lift, 285/75.

Would be Bushwacker Flats only!!

Tires are just a tad over 33" as you see. Top of tire to bottom of factory fender (@rivet) approx
5 3/4" or so.

Nay or yay??

Flex your rig out. If the tires rub get flat fenders or cut yours. If they don't rub spend the money on something useful instead, lol

I was more curious if it would look stupid

Sometimes I think it'd look ok, but then doubt myself

You have to live with it, shouldn't you be deciding that for yourself? The sites search function sucks, use this one in google or whatever, followed by what you want to find. Won't take long to find a dozen pics of jeeps with your lift and tire combo and flat or chopped flares.

You won't be satisfied until you do it...,course I'll be the first to tell you it looks goofy. Looks goofy with 35's it sure will look goofy with pizza cutters. Either do metal cloaks or leave stock. You want to do bushwhackers so go for it.

So I'll chime in. I think it'd look goofy. I'm running a 3.5" lift and 37's. Couple pics for reference to kind of imagine what it'd be like with 33's. I kinda wish I would've put that Bushwacker money to something else.

But as others have said, your rig...do what makes YOU happy!

It really depends on what look you are going for and how often you use it Offroad. I have a 3.5" lift on 35 12.50s and I ended up cutting mine because I would rub the fender when I flexed. Here is a pic of how it will flex now. It easily added another 2 inches of travel. It's nice to have, but It's not something that I would spend $400-$700 on. (Which is why I cut mine)

I'm in relatively the same spot and I'm contemplating the same thing. It does 'need' flats for off-road stuffs without adding more bumpstop (sacrificing uptravel) but the on-road outweighs the off-road.

As an alternative to your mandated bushwhacker only- have you looked at the safaripal flares? They're almost identical to the bushwhackers except for the price. They're $200 cheaper.

Again- I feel your pain because I want to do it without the hacked flare look and I'd rather not blow driveshaft money on flares if I can help it.

I really like the look of the BW, and actually thinking of getting them from Amazon Prime and just holding them in place for a visual.
If don't like it, Prime is pretty easy to do returns with.

And those Safari ones... They are $1300 !!!!
