They must be short on production at the moment. A couple weeks ago they were $300 and free shipping. I see what you're talking about, the shipping is now "$1000" which tells me they're trying to slow down orders. I'm gong to continue to watch for when they drop the crazy shipping but I can't speak to your timeframe if you can wait that long.

Maybe check out the bw's and then wait for the price to drop back to normal on the safaripals?

I say leave it, unless your tires are rubbing when you flex. I have Bushwacker flats and really don't like them, they faded within a year and stain easily, and I think they look funny compared to some of the nicer steel fenders. I've actually considered buying a set of used stock fenders and putting them back on, then trimming them.

I'll go factory for a bit and see if the flat flare fever passes.
I'll research those Safaris also, it says no drilling

I'm running flat fenders right now with 33" tires. I did, however, go to flat fenders for a reason. I intend on going to a 35 soon when my current tires finish wearing out. The flat fenders will allow me to clear the taller tire and not add bumpstop and lift, so i'll retain my low COG and also my articulation. This is how it looks now with 33's.

I would say nay unless you move up to a 35 or even a 37 inch tire. Your jeep looks great right now! If you are planning on doing some wheeling and really need the clearance, go for it. But if it is just cosmetic, I think it looks great right now.

just my opinion

Thanks man

I am happy with how it looks. Keeping it a little more modest then our 2012 we had.

I know what you mean though. My last JK was a different animal than this Rubicon. It has 3.5 RK lift, Fuel 20's, ARB front and rear. I am happy with mine now and it is way more comfortable to drive. But the Jeep bug bites and I see a good deal on a bigger lift.... Bigger tires.... bigger... bigger .... bigger. It is a problem that I am always dealing with lol. It wont help next month when I go to Go Topless day in Galveston and see some of those jeeps.

If you didn't have the lift, the flats and 33's will look ok, with the lift and those tires, it'll look goofy. do 35's min with flats, or leave it alone, and trim the tiny bit of the piece of the rear fender that wilkl rub at full flex

Personally, leave it. If/When you go to 35s, do flat fenders.

I have 33s with a 2.5" lift for 6 months (going to 35s over the weekend) and there is more than enough room. I had zero intentions for flat fenders, don't need it.

Put the cash towards something else and when your tires get bigger, chop those fenders

Default Flat fenders

It really depends on what you mainly use your Jeep for. My Jeep is a Trail Rig and when its not on the trails or beach its sitting in my garage.

Also I have known many people who have trimmed or stock fenders that just get ripped off on the trail. I smacked the side of a tree with my tube fenders and nothing happened to them except a brown scuff mark. If it was a OEM it would have broken or been ripped off.

I have a 3.5" lift and 35's and no rubbing at all. I'd rather have the space to grow to 37" than not have the space in the wheel wells.
