Those have the worst ratings of all!!! People are complaining that seals break and it stops working.

puttin on my asbestos suit for this one

Got the 3,000 lb harbor freight one. I think it is the same factory in china as the pep boys, big red, costco, and most of the other little aluminum "racing jacks". Popular mechanics has been putting coupons for them in the last couple of issues.
weighs nothing - throw it in the back of the jeep if im going to wrench somewhere else. sure could have used it when i put my lift on.

Would never climb under a vehicle supported by only a hydro jack, orings are still 1c orings

if you google image search "sand racing jack" the guys in the dunes put big wide tires on them and use them in the sand.

I've been looking at the craftsman 3ton jack, with the high jack stands, but the reviews seem horrible!

I saw the Kobalt 3 ton kit (with jack stands) but I'm not sure they're tall enough for a lift install....

Anybody have any recommendations??? I think it's too late to order one online...
My 3 ton works great.

Why not just use a highlift? That's what I do, lift it up and put it on jack stands, and it double for on the trail

My Kobalt has made it through 5 lift kits no problem. Not too expensive either.

Bumping... Found what appears to be good deal at Costco. 99.99 for a 3.5 ton floor jack (XL35R) by " Arcan", low profile with a max hgt. of just over 21". As is Typical for an all steel jack, it's heavy at just over 100 pounds so it's not really portable but seems to be well made. Worth checking out if any one's looking.
