I actually just took the muffler back off tonight and the resonator. It's a bitch to take off because of where the bolt is but it sounds A LOT deeper. Really loud tho. I'm straight piping it from there.

If anyone wants sound clips of the before and after without resonator pm me your email or cell. I don't feel like putting it on YouTube again.

The clips were very informative.

I am planning on cutting off the resonator and keeping just the thrush muffler. I will do a before (resonator and thrush muffler) and an after with just the muffler. I will post it up once complete.

I personally think that sounds amazing for a V6, but i'm just wondering if there was anything done to the rest of it (CAI, resonator removal ect..) Anyone have experience with flowmaster 80 series?
Just bought the muffler from the video. Perfect sound. Flowmaster 80 series 42583 or 842583 for stainless steel. This muffler is used for Camaros but has the same 2.5in inlet as the jk so it works. Love the dual exits. Easy install.

This is good info guys. I miss the Flowmaster and MagnafloW sounds on my Chevy trucks in years past. I hope to find a good throaty system, well as much as possible, for this 3.6.

Hey Moz, did you do the muffler alone to get the same sound or did you do the resonator? I'm guessing it bolts right it even though it's used for Camaros? Thanks.

I just replaced the muffler. It sounds awesome! Not too crazy, just right.

Just the muffler. I bought the same muffler I saw on YouTube for 99.99 at pep boys. I also bought two L shaped 90degree elbows for the exhaust. Took it to a weld shop and they welded it on for 100.00. My jk is 2008, it'll work with any jk.
