No on the 2012 there is a small resonator under driver seat. Only purpose is to reduce noise, not a cat

Well I took the muffler off. I can't decide where to go from here. It's too ricey to me and not deep enough. I know with a V6 I won't get as deep as a V8, but I need more than this. Tell me what you think I the sound and what I should do from here.

What about replacing everything from the cat back with an in-line glass packed muffler and a tuned Tail pipe?

I was thinking that, I'll try em both out and see how I like em, glass pack is definitely the cheaper route but I just don't want it to be too loud, coming from my si with race header and a 3 inch exhaust it's time to mellow it down a bit

Just put on a glass pack and it's Surprisingly mellow, I like it better than running the stock resonated w/o the muffler

I bought my 07 auto with a straight pipe, and it was pretty whiny. Only sounded cool in gear decelerating IMO. I put an 80 series dual out on it and it sounds ok wot but sounds great at idle and low rpm. My 2 cents.

I bought the Banks Stinger kit about a month ago.. Absolutely love the sound and performance gains.. Better throttle response, a lot more bottom end and also picked up 1.5 mpg.. I'm up to 18 mpg now with my 35's and 4.56's on my '12 JKU..

If you do try it out, keep us posted about your results, (and if possible) post pictures. Thanks.
