Lube, a pair of pliers, and start wiggling.

Wait...that sounds...fun...

Off the muffler, hangers are still on the frame bracket

This is how I did it and it was hard. My hands still have the cuts. You need some kind of lube then passenger side I pushed it off from the body bracket. Then I sat behind the jeep and put my foot on the tail pipe and reached under and grabbed the hanger and pushed as hard as I could (I almost pushed it off the jack stand) and yelled and screamed and pop it came off. I put a straight pipe in and it's to loud. So all that work and I am putting the stock muffler back on until I by a custom system

If you do it right you can put one jaw of a pair of pliars on the end of the metal hangar and the other on the rubber. If it's lubed you can sorta push/pull/twist the isolator until it pops off the hangar.

Well, used the lube idea and got the muffler off tonight. I think it sounds a little too ricey, and not as loud as if like it to be. Any ideas to at least deepen the sound?

I'm gonna try taking of the resonator and putting a flowmaster 40 series and pipe it out the back just to see....perks of working in a parts store is the ability to test products

By resonator, do y'all mean the CAT converter? It is required in TN to pass emissions and renew your tags. Can't remove that.
