I have Tom Woods 1350 front and rear. I have not heard of any complaints about Woods, JE Reel, or Coast. All seem fairly similar to me. I went with Tom because when I called he answered the phone and answered my questions himself.

My front driveshaft boot never made contact with the tranny pan with this setup. After I installed an adjustable front trackbar and centered my front axle, I tore my boot the first time offroad, and continued to make contact with the tranny pan until I shortened my front trackbar one turn. Now my front axle is off center only 1mm to the driver side and my front driveshaft is no longer making contact with the tranny pan.

LOL!! I am prety sure you just explained why I haven't torn mine but my brother in law has torn his twice with a similar setup! We figured it was due to my electronic sway bar disconnect vs. him completely disconnecting. Figured I had less travel but once I saw your post, I realized that this explanation makes more sense. I have an adjustable front track bar but my axle is clearly not perfectly square. It sits a bit to the drivers side (can only see if whan I park on a parking line).

I assume that little off center makes it so the shaft gets that tiny little bit of additional clearance and now misses the skid! Not sure what it will do to me long run not having a perfectly centered axle but at least I think I found the answer to why I haven't torn my boot after several fairly hard wheeling trips!
