Noticed that the bushing was worn and all four shocks will need to be replaced soon. For the time being i tighten that bolt and no more noise.

This is what I am hoping for! I have Bilstein 5100's on order. So hopefully this is the issues and I can obsess about something else

I'll be getting JKS Sway Bar Disconnects within a few weeks and eventually some Rubicon shock take-offs.

My mechanic said to me that everything was tight. So I don't know if it's the swaybar. I'm hoping it's just a shock. Than I can justify to the boss(wife). I thought it might be the spring originally. I also thought it might be from the teraflex leveling kit. When I was at my mechanics the other day they had my jeep on the lift and was amazed of all the rust that was on the shields. I am also wondering if it's something like that? Maybe the shock rusted out???? I though it might be the plastic shields rubbing. That's coming off When the new shocks are installed... I don't know about you but my honking sound almost always happens when the shock rebounds.

Update: I installed JKS Disconnects and the honking still happened but not as frequently.

I just replaced the shocks with some new Rubicon take-off shocks and it still honks. Also, after putting on the shocks I hear metal creaking sounds whenever I have the wheels turned while flexing

What's going on....

It's really bothering me now. Every time I go over the littlest bump I hear it in the front. After reading some of the posts I have moments of relief I'm not the only one going through this to severe worry that nobody has a real concrete answer to this. It sounds metallic like something is rubbing, it only makes the noise when going over uneven roads. What does a blown shock do??? What happens with blown bushings??? Just trying to zero in. Thanks!

What's going on bud? By any chance does this only happen when your wheeling in 4lo? If so it's probably your brakes. With the a.b.s. being off your brakes make some funky sounds.

I'm experiencing this too.
I've got JKS Quicker Disconnects and AEV 2.5 inch lift.
It's driving me crazy.
