Front end makes 'honking' sound on bumps off-road

I know this thread is a little old but I have this noise too. I have figured out that it is the sway bar traveling up and rubbing on a piece of "pipe" essentially that is sticking out from the frame a little bit. My answer to it was to shave it down a bit. You will probably notice some bare or rusted metal on this spot on the frame and/or your sway bar. I notice that the sway bar will slide slightly frome side to side. Hope this helps everyone

The damm sound has come back. I am beside myself. When the weather gets better I am going to look into where this swaybar is rubbing. I really thought I found the solution.
