My wife has been driving the Jeep for the last few months while I'm working out of state. First a month of stock, then i got the superchips and put the 87 octane on there on one of my visits home. She said she gets more miles per tank over stock. Overall about a 2 mpg difference. When I came home for Thanksgiving, I put the mileage tune on it. She told me last night that she has seen less mpg than the 87 and even stock. So I put the 87 octane back on. Might have to try the tow tune and see what happens. So from our experience, the mileage tune doesn't give you much mileage, so it won't be going back on. She also said that it seems like it has a little less power when she takes off from a stop.

Any auto's running the mileage tune on 35's and 5.13 gears?

Been running 87 for 8 months...think I'll give it a try...

I recently had to make a couple of runs from Maryland to Boston/New York loaded down with 5 ~200lb navy guys plus gear on 35's in an unlimited 6 speed with a 4:10 rear. On the first trip I used the mileage tune and was running between 70-80mph the power is still an improvement over stock and close to the 87 tune power wise, i recorded 14-15MPG. Driving to Boston with the same load I used the mileage tune still running 70-80mph. I recorded 14-15MPG again. On the return trip I changed the tune to the 87 Octane setting and recorded 16-18MPG. I was able to get long highway runs, city traffic, and a bit of winding county road. As far as I could tell the 87 tune provided more power and better mileage so I'll be sticking with it. Hope that helps.

Now for the dumbest question of all... How do these hip things work? Where does it go, what all would I need to go after the better mpg?? I get about 275 miles to the tank (24 gal I think, right?!?!). After paying $3.17/ gal for 87 oct today. Im definitely in need of improvements. What else could I do to get better mpg? I'm not heavy on the pedal, i try to b very conscience of power and all to try to save on gas.

I've run about 6 tanks on 87 fuel saver tune, and I'm getting the same 300 miles from full to "ding" that I got before superchips ('07 4-dr auto, stock 32's). This last tank was a little better, but my commute has been easier, so I think that's the difference. Going to change to 87 performance this weekend and keep my fingers crossed for improvement.
