Default Full Traction 3" lift

Another tread brought up that 4WD.com is having a 20% off sale on their Full Traction lifts (God I love this site). I am looking to do a 3" lift on my 2009 Rubicon (looking to run 35's) and wanted to get peoples opinions on the quality/completeness of the kit. The JK is a 90% daily driver, with 10% trail off roading (no heavy stuff). Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

The system includes heavy-duty adjustable front track bar, rear track bar relocation bracket, new-generation front sway bar disconnects, rear sway bar links, bump stops, brake line relocation brackets, and ride-tuned coil springs.

i don't know how the cost of things would work out but for me personally, i would get the 3" economy kit, add in an FT adjustable front track bar, a set of FT ultimate adjustable front lower control arms and FT rear adjustable uppers instead. the arms in this kit are not adjustable and so they won't help you to set your caster or pinion angle once you get a new rear u-joint style drive shaft. also, the FT disconnects are quite frankly terrible and i wouldn't recommend using them.

If this is the way you go, in addition to WOL's advise, I'd either not get the F/T shocks
or ditch 'em and get the OME Long Travels from David at Northridge. The ride difference is night and day!

FT sells both a basic hydro shock and bilstein. the bilsteins are a great shock but a bit more expensive. the OME long travel shocks are a great choice as well. or, if you want adjustability, a set of rancho 9000's is a good option too

Thanks! How is the ride with those shocks when you are doing normal on the road driving? 4WD.com is also selling Bilstein shocks at 25% off (buy three get one free) and I am wondering if the OME is worth the 25% higher price tag.

Thanks that is great advice. If I dumb it down to the basic spring kit I can always add the arms later I guess.

I installed the FT 3" economy kit and front and rear adjustable track bars. I highly recommend that you don't use the track bar brackets and buy the adustable track bars, or at minimum a front adjustble track bar. Also, the front sway bar disconnects that I got were the old generation. They were absolutely junk! Too hard to put to end links together. Looking at the picture, it looks like FT redesigned them to disconnect from the bottom which is a lot easier to reconnect. I ended up replacing the FT discos with the Teraflex "quicker" discos. But overall, great lift kit and extremely high quality.

After doing some more searching I found way too many postings with problems with the Full Traction lifts. 20% is a great sale, but I think I will pass...

i don't know what you've read but honestly, i have run both their 3" ultimate lift and 4" upgrade lift and am now running their long arms and can tell you that the quality of their components are top notch, super beefy and offer an amazing amount of bind free flex. their premium arms are just okay but i think you would be very happy with the ultimate ones.

I took some sand paper and wrapped it around them at each end and thinned them out a tiny bit. Fit in much better, but they still kinda suck. I just don't put them in lol. I feel like the Jeep rides better without them in anyways.

I run the 3" Enonomy kit and I love it. No problems here. Don't install the front trackbar relocation bracket though, man that thing is a waste of metal. Instead us it to practice welding, that's what I did lol
