I am really confused now

But like others have said the big adjustable crescent wrench is what you need.

And be sure to get it really tight when you put it back on.

Sorry to confuse matters...my OP was a bit unclear. Long story short the installer of my FT track bar set the track bar length too long and the axle needs to come back towards the driver side about 1/4". When I removed the track bar yesterday I could not loosen the jam nut to make the adjustment to the length of the track bar it had been tighten down so tight. I will pick up a crescent wrench tomorrow to see if I can get it loose and make the proper adjustment to the length of the bar.
