You ought to fine...upgrade next time you have a chance to a deep cycle battery or Optima Top.

Not optima.... They're not what they used to be I'd suggest the Sears Diehard or an Odyssey battery that's what I have a bit pricey but with winch, lights etc it was worth it

My deep cycle blue top optima has been great as well. Always had good luck with them.

FWIW in my opinion the battery is just as or more important than the winch.

I had a buddy with a Warn 9000 that was having trouble pulling me back out of a mud hole due to battery issues.

Can't go wrong with the Sears DieHard Platinum.

Just my 2 cents but I always had good luck with the optima yellow tops. My stock battery had a struggle this past winter trying to get me unstuck on ice when I was stock. Couldn't imagine now that I'm lifted.

Read the specs for the winch or look on line there is a minimum CCA rating....is it absolutely necessary... probably not for bumper ornaments
