What all is broke? You just need to pay a welder $50-$100 to weld the original bracket back on where it was and beef it up a little.(Its bolted to the skyjacker one) and slap on a new adjustable track bar ($199). Then throw the skyjacker bracket in the trash

What is the $2500 for? Tell those idiots to take a flying leap!

Custom exhaust shops will do a great job of welding it up for you!

Good call, don't let the dealer touch it unless they are going to help you out on it. The dealer may be full of good techs, but factory dealers are not full of good welding and fab guys very often. They just have no need to do that kind of work unless it is a hobby.

Take all the pieces you showed in the picture and drop it off at a competent welder. Try hard to get some recommendations for the person you choose to do the welding. An exhaust shop might help you out, but in my neck of the woods the exhaust guys can't even weld an exhaust pipe properly.

If the welder botches the job it will be as weak or weaker than stock. It will also be harder to fix when it breaks again. If that happens find another competent welder that also has fab skills and have him box in a new bracket for you. If you know of a local 4x4 club, ask the fellas there. The guys that actually wheel their junk will know who can weld without leaving pieces parts all over the trail.

I can tell you are more confused after your trip to the dealer (you said you were). When you find the right guy (or gal) to fix this it will take a load off your mind, because for them it will be no big deal.

If you get desperate and cannot find a good welder or any recommendations, look for a shop that welds in roll cages. They can weld and fab, and they get practice every day. Good luck.

I called skyjacker and they told me just to reweld the bracket with the extension they had there and attach their brace and I'd be good to go....thats deffinetly the cheapest route but best ?

Yeah, I can guess how they were gonna fix it. They'd probably replace the whole rear axle assembly just because of a broken bracket.

Then pull all the parts out to sell as new parts when someone came in with a broken axle shaft or other minor problem...

doing restorations and custom painting i agree with some of these guys. i would have the bracket rewelded on, have a gussett welded to the axle housing and bracket just to make it stronger since it was damaged before. and the adjustable track bar. i have not lifted my 08 jk yet but i plan on adding gussetts to both the frame and axle brackets,

oh and def agree with chunking that relocation bracket into the nearest scrap pile for melting.
