How about this...
... for those of you who already have their Hemi, or those that do not plan on doing this swap where should we be watching to source the engines and transmissions?
I caught mines on Craigslist while I was in OKC visiting the in-laws for the summer. The guy wanted $1,500.00 for it but I took $1,000.00 cash with me and he took the cash. IMHO it all a matter of patience, timing and luck. Always keeping your eyes and ears open for that deal and having the resources available to jump on that deal when it comes around. I'm no preparing my resources for Dana 60s front and rear with 40s all around, along with the EVO coilover kit. I'm planning that project for the summer.

Seems like way overkill. I rode my stock D44 for 2 years with my 5.7vvt. Never any issue whatsoever and I ride it hard. Only went to D60 because I upgraded everything else ( gears, shafts, front PR44, etc.,) at the same time. Many rigs undergo some serious abuse and heavy towing without requiring a D80. Frankly, I have no idea what such a behemoth would be for.
