Hemi or LS swap
Here is the Diesel that we are thinking about, it comes in the GC. There is another Diesel 5.0L out of the Nissan Triton it is a Cummins. We do not have any info yet on this engine.
The 3.0L engine looks like the best way right now, it should blend the best in a Jeep. Not sure of the weight of the engine but it looks to be light.
The LS or the Hemi is the cheapest way to go.

The 2015 1/2 ton Nissan Titan will be supplied by the new Cummins V-8 TurboDiesel. That might be the engine to think about.

Are many guys doing these builds on their own?
I'm curious to see the difficulty level and how cheaply it can be done if its a DIY project.
Im craving power but I dont have 15-20k to drop for it.

not nearly as many as people on the older tjs and yjs. Its still fairly new on these. Im also curious as well. I would only do it myself also, but i am debating getting an older jeep anyway... I dont even think ive seen a extremely half ass write up of someone doing them on there own...

i agree, its sad though that with all the damn electronics, youll spend a ton on the harness, prolly half of the cost. Im not terrible at electrical, but i hate doing it, no way id want to try and figure that out..
I've had aev do a brute with a new 5.7 hemi with auto trans no over heating never a issue , I bought a new rubicon had it converted to a jk8 pickup then this time I went with the 6.4 srt 500 hp with a getrag manual 6 speed it's a monster the only issue is the radiator mgf Griffin has had epoxy problems with there radiators both aev and Burnsville off-road aka Dakota customs have had problems. I know that aev has dropped Griffin as their supplier
