LS- google turn key crate engines. Can get with tranny and CPU starting about 8k, then just need the easy stuff to make it fit.

Here is the Diesel that we are thinking about, it comes in the GC. There is another Diesel 5.0L out of the Nissan Triton it is a Cummins. We do not have any info yet on this engine.

The 3.0L engine looks like the best way right now, it should blend the best in a Jeep. Not sure of the weight of the engine but it looks to be light.

The LS or the Hemi is the cheapest way to go.

Do I see a turbo on that? If y'all are successful with this then I think it will be the new way to go. Hope you all the success which I'm sure you will be

The 2015 1/2 ton Nissan Titan will be supplied by the new Cummins V-8 TurboDiesel. That might be the engine to think about.

Are many guys doing these builds on their own?
I'm curious to see the difficulty level and how cheaply it can be done if its a DIY project.
Im craving power but I dont have 15-20k to drop for it.

I think if I could do it for a bit under $10k completed Id go for it. With a used motor and tranny you might could get away with it

i agree, its sad though that with all the damn electronics, youll spend a ton on the harness, prolly half of the cost. Im not terrible at electrical, but i hate doing it, no way id want to try and figure that out..
