Hi-Jack hood mount
Have used mine a few times, what sucks is trying to use it to change a tire...ummm yeah..okkkkkk...
it requires a lot to get it up in the air to lift a tire with our flex, the wheel strap accessory is cool if you "just" want to lift the jeep for whatever reason, but "not" to change "that" tire, but to change a wheel out...they are silly.
The last thing I'd do is mount one to our flimsy hoods, hinges or not, whatever just a pain to get to and like others see a paint disaster happening. I would however like access to one on a congo or swingout tire.

The wheel strap is actually a very cool accessory for a number of reasons. If you don't have HD bumpers, you can lift the wheel and not damage it, and if you get a flat it works really well. As you said, with better flex it sucks changing tires on these vehicules, so what you do is lift the wheel sufficiently, then you put whatever else you want under the axle to hold it up, and you can change the tire. A lot easier than lifting your Jeep 4 ft in the air cause of the flex.
thanks for taking the time to explain that, I will pick up that accessory. I ordered the mount for my tire swing.
