Default Holster in jk?

Getting my CCW and a tuffy under seat box. But how are y'all putting a holster in the jk for your gun while you drive? Just plan on using the tuffy if I can't bring it with me and want a option to just put the gun while I drive and still have quick access.

I lined the center console with Velcro. Then picked up a Maxpedition loop holster and mag holders. Works great and the extra loops on the mag holders are good for a light and a leatherman.

Why take off the cc piece while driving? Sometimes putting it back on, especially in an open top vehicle is waaay too conspicuous to the unwanted observer... could lead to a man with a gun call if the wrong person sees you fussing with it.

Leave it in place. You'll spend less time being obvious that you are a CCW that way.

If you absolutely HAVE to remove it and store it, the tuffy cc security box seems to be the best commerically available thing going right now. I would be practiced at casually reaching back to remove your self defense sidearm from its concealed position and smoothly bending over placing it in the box under the seat while sitting in the driver's seat. Leave the holster in place on your belt concealed.

With all the stuff people grab anymore when preparing to exit a car, if you don't make it obvious what you are doing, the unwanted casual observer may just pass it off that you're sitting in the jeep "longer than normal" simply texting on your phone.

Try not to park right next to anyone else if you know you have to remove your CCW either.

Default CC on that W

The Tuffy underseat is definitely the way to go when you can't take it with you for legal or other reasons.

Wearing your daily carry in the car can make it difficult to draw. My underarm/chest band is not a problem but with my Crossbreed Supertuck and even a pocket carry I almost have to get out of the Jeep to draw. That's not acceptable.

An under steeing wheel holster mount might be your best option. Just make sure it meets your state/local laws.

I just keep it on me under the tail of my shirt.
Small of the back FBI forward cant is quite comfortable for me, fits in the gap between the seat and back while I'm driving.
Think of it as a safety pillow.Click image for larger version

I always just leave mine on me and I carry mine on my strong side back pocket area because that's where I have carried mine for years and go to naturally when I draw. That way if and when I'm going to need to draw it, I know right where its going to be. I have spent some time with the JK in the garadge with the door shut practicing drawing my gun too.

I do like the Tuffy box for securing it when you can't take it with you.
