hood flutter
Thanks for all of the input guys. I went with the daystar wranglers and after 500 miles of my 1000 mile trip, not a bit of flutter. Even on back road 2 lane highways doing 80 mph with a semi going the other way. Best $25 spent so far.
Ok I'll jump on the Daystart wagon....
I got them back in 07 when my hood did the "Harlem Shake" dance when driving and it hasn't done it since! They also last as I have had the same ones on for all these years and they are still tight (though they do loosen up from how tight they are when first installed thank God!).

I experienced the flutter last night (strong head wind). Ive seen hood locks that mount through the grille (i think u can use same key with Mopars). Do the locks help with flutter or do I need to get both? Thx
This is one of those upgrades that I always think about doing when I'm on the road, but then completely forget about the minute I get out of the driver's seat. haha.. Something I have been wanting to do though, for sure.
As mentioned upthread, this does indeed solve 99% of hood flutter. But with my jeep, with no front air dam in a strong headwind, I still experienced the flutter.
I don't encounter strong headwinds often, so I don't yet know if the zip tie trick worked but for the time and materials investment, I am sure willing to take the chance.
