I've had my rubber hood latchs snap and fly off 3 times now. All three times were on extremely windy days meeting an 18 wheeler. After the first time I keep some stainless tie wire and short pieces of stainless tubing for roadside repairs when a latch snaps. I was given two sets of latches from my dealer after the first time.
When my last spare latch is used I'm going with the new latch that takes the hood pin. There's no way your going to get flutter or snap one of those.

Do the daystar latches work that good? I'm between the drake and daystar latches. I love the look of the drake but $130 is a little ridiculous for hood flutter. Do the daystar latches hold the hood down firmly? I know the drake are adjustable.
