I have had my stick on headliners for a year now. The smaller panels up front have not given me any problems at all. Hold really well.

However the rear and middle sections have not done as well. About once every two weeks one of the two panels falls down. The Velcro is still stuck to the top and also to the panel as the sticky is holding very well. It is the actual Velcro that pulls away from itself. I think it is because the two panels are too big and going down rutty roads causes them to come loose.

As far as protection from the heat they are great. It makes a big difference in the inside temperature here in Phoenix. Last July a fellow JK Unlimited ('09) and my JK Unlimited ('10) were traveling across the California desert in mid afternoon heading west from Phoenix to Bakersfield. The temperatures outside on both of our instrument panels were 118 degrees. I had the panels install and by fellow Jeeper did not. They were complaining about how the a/c was having a hard time keeping up with the outside temperature and we fired back on our CB that we had to turn down the temperature as we were getting too cold. As best as I know, we both had the same equipment on our Jeeps, just the one year difference and of course we had the headliners installed.

Anyway I was thinking of going to a permanent mounting of the headliners to keep them in place unless there is a better way of attaching more Velcro to them. I like the removable feature because when the panels do fall down I take them out and blow off the dust that collects from all of the dusty AZ roads we travel down.

Any more upcoming sales!? ie for July 4th, or something

Any more definitive yes or no's for the velcro vs the 3m!? I hate making executive decisions.. I want to order now and get them on while the hard tops are off.. I'm hoping for a cold and snowy winter!

I think I was the guy that first mentioned these head liner on this forum and I have been running them for two years now. They keep the inside of the JEEP noticeably cooler when I’m down in the Imperial Valley in the summer with temperatures of 115 degrees, and they look great too. I would go with the permanent mount because you are not ever going to get rid of them. I have never had any issues with the glue warming up and becoming unstable in the extreme heat.

How thick are these panels and what are they made from?

I've had mine installed for a few weeks now. Here in the South it's the Humidity combined with the Heat that makes it feel so Hot. I'm not sure how effective the Hothead liners are with this combination. I've not been able to turn the A/C down yet. Maybe come Winter in our 50/60* weather I may have better temperature performance.

I'd like to see some pics of the installed product. Can anyone post a few?

Hows the sound? Muffled or really unnoticeable... Thanks

I think the sounds is better since I installed my headliners. It has helped with the heat here in Texas but it still gets a little warm inside the jeep. I also put shades across the windows to help with heat and I stay in my jeep all day since I workout of it

I know these are called "hotheads" but how well does the insulation help keep temps up in cold weather?
