Hotheadliners
installed mine for the Texas heat and wow! they make a difference - A/C cools faster, noise level is down. Even my daughter noticed it cooled faster and had not noticed the Hot Heads - she was always complaining about the heat and not cooling fast enough...
I don't plan on taking them out so I got the permanent, only thing I noticed for the first few days was the smell of the tape curing.

I got them permenantly up there. It's soooo hot in Dallas that one side started coming down so i gorilla-glued the F*** out of it. THey aint going nowhere now!
To be Fair, the problem with them coming down just a little in one corner before gorilla glue wasn't the fault of Hotheads, it was more of me not cleaning the top properly before i installed them.
I would def buy another set and recommend them to anyone!

However the rear and middle sections have not done as well. About once every two weeks one of the two panels falls down. The Velcro is still stuck to the top and also to the panel as the sticky is holding very well. It is the actual Velcro that pulls away from itself. I think it is because the two panels are too big and going down rutty roads causes them to come loose.
After making this post, about 2 weeks later a package of additional Velcro shows up in my mail from Hot Head Headliners. I installed the new pieces of Velcro between the other pieces already installed. I since have gone to Moab for a week of wheel'n, then another week off-roading in the Maze District and San Rafeal Swell, and another short trip in the White Tanks area near Phoenix where I live. Plenty of bumpy roads to shake off the panels. The added strips of Velcro has done the trick. The problems with the middle and back panels falling down are now gone.
I'd like to give Hot Heads kudos for stepping up and mailing me the fix. To me this says volumes about their commitment to their product and customers.
Hi Everyone,
first off I want to thank everyone for being so supportive by actually buying our headliners and writing such good reviews of them. It's because of you all that we are now able to move the production of our headliners to a new level. What that means is we are able to make them for less and we want to pass that savings on to you. So, if you have been considering our headliners but thought they were a bit too expensive, take a look at our prices now. I also want to assure everyone that our headliner will stay exactly the same quality. We have not cut back on the quality or quantity of our materials. And as always, if anyone every as any issue with our headliners all they have to do is let me know and I will take care of it.

I have had my stick on headliners for a year now. The smaller panels up front have not given me any problems at all. Hold really well.

As far as protection from the heat they are great. It makes a big difference in the inside temperature here in Phoenix. Last July a fellow JK Unlimited ('09) and my JK Unlimited ('10) were traveling across the California desert in mid afternoon heading west from Phoenix to Bakersfield. The temperatures outside on both of our instrument panels were 118 degrees. I had the panels install and by fellow Jeeper did not. They were complaining about how the a/c was having a hard time keeping up with the outside temperature and we fired back on our CB that we had to turn down the temperature as we were getting too cold. As best as I know, we both had the same equipment on our Jeeps, just the one year difference and of course we had the headliners installed.
Anyway I was thinking of going to a permanent mounting of the headliners to keep them in place unless there is a better way of attaching more Velcro to them. I like the removable feature because when the panels do fall down I take them out and blow off the dust that collects from all of the dusty AZ roads we travel down.

Hotheads Headliners read my post on here and sent me free of charge additional Velcro for the back two panels that I had posted about falling down. I applied the extra Velcro and have been running about 2 years without any more problems with the panels falling down. Great product, great service. I highly recommend. Thanks
