They have this new stuff called silicone, it amazing stuff you should check it out. Im sure they'll have it at your local redneck hardware store.

I ordered a set of the flat steel ones. My driver side door wiring likes to fight me and my dimple has turned into a divot. Hopefully it will match my AEV corners. By the way, when I called them they suggested using double sided tape but leave a gap in it. He said he had his on for 4 years and this has kept the condensation out.

Since '06. Mine was in the first batch to hit the dealers and I took it home in late September '06. The oldest a JK could be is a little under 3 years-- unless he got his hands on a pre-production model.

Yup. ANYTHING that covers another panel presents a rust possibility.


....and to the person who posted the smartass comment about the silicone, I supposed he doesn't have things like condensation and humidity where he lives. Also, silicone is NOT impervious to the elements, either.
