I can't even begin to respond properly because I have no idea what exactly is troubling you about your JKU Rubi (that you compare favorably to a factory stock Willys Wheeler edition with 32" tires and 3.73 gears).

Is the ride stiff? Is it soft? Is it okay as is?
Is it under powered?
Is it over geared and "buzzy" trying to go 75-80 mph on the interstates? (I suspect so being that I have a 2014 on 37" tires and 4.88 gears and feel that it is leaning at over geared for my use, maybe 15 days a year off-road)
Are you unhappy with 13-14 mpg and want to get back some of the stock fuel economy? (That is the fuel economy I see out on interstates)
Is there a great deal of body roll and an unstable feel?
Is the steering "flighty" as if something could be flexing or be worn?
What exactly about your vehicle are you unhappy with and want to remedy?
Throw us a bone....

Thanks everyone for the responses. I try and answer all the questions. I do have a*drag link flip already with the Rock Krawler steering drag link. The shop I had the alignment done at is know to be the best around here.*When I brought mine he had two other jeeps, an H1 and*a Ferrari in the shop. My son's is a 2 dr so that may be why mine feels better.

I'll try and describe the issue a little*better. First not always but once in awhile at speed over*60 I'll*turn the while to adjust and it feels like there is no response. Almost like the steering is disconnected. It disconcerting seems like a long time but it's probably milliseconds. At speeds over 40*it pulls left. I'm told this is the Nitto's so changing them may solve a lot of my issues. Finally at speeds between 60 and 75 it just doesn't feel planted. Steering feels flighty and bumps feel like I'm all over the road. Over 75 and it's like a different jeep. It*tracks well, it feels planted and responsive.*

I think I'm going to start with getting lower springs by 1" or even 2", go to 35" tires and drop the gearing to*4.56. I think I should start there and see what I have before a dump any more money into it.

I have a '13 on 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers and 5.13 gears. I like it, but those 5.13s are definitely on the aggressive side, especially if you're not getting any offroad benefit from them. I can't imagine dropping down to 35" tires. 75 mph currently puts me right at 3k rpms. I'd imagine with 35s that would be more like 3200 rpm....ouch. I didn't buy my jeep for fuel economy, but the needle sure seems to drop fast these days....especially if I creep up to 80mph on the interstate.

Rather than pay to re-gear to 4.56.......is there enough demand in your area that you should just consider an axle swap with someone that wants to move to 5.13's? Would be a lot cheaper.

Agreed. 5.13 gears in my opinion are a HORRIBLE choice for a 3.6L Automatic daily driven JK that may go off road a few times a year. A vehicle like that should be geared to best fit the street driving so that it is still serviceable off road. This was geared as if it was a hard core rock warrior that is trailered to the woods. Sorry to say it, but that was a big mistake someone talked you into, I would bet it was a shop that was used to re-gearing the lethargic 3.8L and they gave you very bad advice for your 3.6L(almost 100 HP better).

I got a couple solutions that could help you out.

Trade me straight up your 2014 JKUR for my 2009 JKUS with 126K miles on it. Mods shown in my signature, and rides good on road with brand new 35's.

or take off those Dana44 axles with 5.13 gears and trade me straight up for my Dana30 front and Dana44 Rear with 3.73 gears. That way you save on having to re-gear.

BAM!!! Done.

So what you have talked about would cost you a nice chunk of change. If you are willing to do that why not spend a little more and get adjustable long arms? Adjustable arms will allow you to dial in your castor properly and long arms will sit more parallel which will help your overall ride a little bit. An air bump or perhaps

Teraflex Speedbumps might help a little bit too if you have issues with hard pot holes and what not.

The steering issue could be a worn steering box or other steering components. Check your ball joints, and tie rod ends for any slop.

Oh and rotate your tires and see if that does anything.
