But, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and they have the right to save a few bucks.
My brother and I both use American made ATVengineering hubcentric spacers that are available on ebay and I was and still am extremely impressed with the quality of engineering. After their first Canadian winter, I am pleased to report that they remain absolutely intact from the road salt and extreme cold we experienced up here.
I chose the 1 inch spacers with my 285/70-17, same with my brother with his 275/70-18 and neither if us experience any rubbing whatsoever. Reason for going with 1 inch, was cause we wanted to keep the tire inside the fenders. Bullseye on that cause only the sidewall sticks out and the set-up looks stock. Stock wheels have a recess on the inside between the lug holes, in which the excess lenght of the stock wheel lugs fit in perfectly, eliminating the needs to cut anything.
Best part is that they were almost half the price of their competitors. Highly recommended.
