Ive been doing some research about the hypertech max power programmer and am pretty close to pulling the trigger on it but then i came across the AEV ProCal Module. Any one have any feedback on this ??

Depends on what you want. The Hypertech is going to give you a little more power as well as adjusting a few settings for tire size and gearing. The AEV is just a toggle for factory functions. The AEV, which I have, will set tire size, gearing, DRL, and has the high-idle feature for winching and a bunch of other features. The AEV is not a module that re-programs the Jeep like the Hypertech.

so i would assume that sence you can change your tire size it will correct your speedo, thus correcting your shift points(for and auto)?

Yup, that is what I hear and helps with ESP issues.

Sounds like Hypertech is the better deal considering your features. Obviously cost is a concern ($379 vs $145 I think?) but the extra HP and the ability to change tire size and gear ratio is a win in my book.

You can change tire size, gears, TPMS threshold, reset factory codes, center steering, and much more with the AEV. That sold it to me. The Hypertech didn't improve power too greatly to justify spending the extra money...

That is pretty sweet. How can you center steering with a module?

The Hypertech will also change tire size, gears, and reset factory dtc codes. I believe the only thing it wont do is shut off the tpms light on the dash.

both the units have pros and cons

AEV procal has more good features then hypertec, speed control, steering recenter, easy to plug in etc

Hypertec has similar features like AEV but it definately gives your better fuel milage, increase in engine power, and snappy gas pedal response, but no TPMS, Recenter steering, daylights off, and speed control etc

AEV has a lot more features than the Hypertech unit. IMO, the AEV is better suited for the guys running the 6-speeds.

Hypertech flashes your computer to add some horsepower and torque whether using 87 or 92 octane. Plus, changes the shift points for the guys running the automatics.

I have both the AEV and Hypertech. I prefer the AEV and love it. A lot of useable features and EXTREMELY easy and fast to flash the computer.
