I have the superchips ping!
Make sure to double check that it's actual pinging and not the heat shield breaking away from the exhaust pipes. Apparently that's been a pretty substantial cause of pinging sounds from Superchips owners.

If this problem just came up but has been previously ok. I'd leave it stock and burn through this tank and then fill up and try again. Can't hurt to wait out one tank and see if it was the gas
Today was the first warm day ( almost 80 ) and I was running the a/c and noticed the clatter in the engine. I tried the tow tune and it does the same thing. Oh well. I packaged it back up and will send back to Summit Racing for a refund. I REALLY wanted this thing to be good. At least I am saving $325.
No pinging with Tow tune! 87 tune was brutal pinging with 87 Octane thus the switch and only running Tow tune!
Try a different gas station and try disconnecting the battery and try reloading the tow tune with new gas to see if it will stop pinging.

Any mods to my jk scares me! They had to put a new motor in my jeep 5 days after I bougt it. I put under 500 miles on it and bought it brand new. So I have the money to lift it but it scares me cuz the jeep runs kinda weird since the new motor.
