Default Jk bumper options

I have been around for a while here watching the progression of all types of mod's, which are all outstanding. Now recently I have found some time to offer something to this great site.

I have owned a few Jeeps over the years; but most notably my 1984 CJ-7 did well up until I sold it in 2003 - and I would still own it if children had not come into the picture..., but that's another story, and I am happy because i love my children . Anyway, this is a great site, and I appreciate being able to be a member.

Having looked all over for a very simple CJ-YJ-TJ type bumper, both front and rear, to replace the stock ones on my 09 Rubicon Unlimited, does anyone know of anyone does, or is planning to make, a same type bumper - i.e., like the one on the J8?

I also add if there is any initiative to make one, would it be offered in a version to accept the factory bumper-mounted fog lights?

Of course I can make my own with some c-channel stock, but I wanted to ask.

Thanks again all for a great site.

Thanks for the info on those, looks great. I am looking at the more traditional c-channel type like the J8 has in this photo.

I've heard of people getting their hands on some of the older jeep bumpers and modifying them to fit the JK. You end up getting a bumper for a 100 bucks.

I have thought of that. The underlying purpose is to create a bumper that is both light weight and simple. Using earlier bumpers is easy, but having one that fits is what I am looking for.

If you ever find out where to get the J8 bumpers, I'd be interested too.

I contacted A to Z fabrication (https://www.atozfabrication.com) about making one. They can and will, but they need a Jeep on-site to make it happen. Their price is right and they can do it, I just can't provide my vehicle. Dilemma...
