Question for SLC, how far of a drive from baton rouge? Need gears soon and don't trust the 2 local 4x4 shops around here. Plus that would give me an excuse for a wheelin trip to tx.

We are between Dallas and Ft. Worth...Close to DFW Airport.
8hrs sounds about right in a Jeep

Did you use the blue washers from the JK specific Aussie Locker?

Just saw this thread after having my Aussie installed for about 6 months. I figured that my clunking that many people are experiencing was just the ratcheting that was suppose to be noticeable after the install. I've been offroad a few times and the Aussie works great, it just freaks my passengers out when I make a U-Turn. I have a few extra washers laying around from my previous carrier, so I will try to run a tighter tolerance and see if it helps at all.

You dont want to get it to tight that it wont release at all! then you'll be in the shit
Mine is on the loose side of being in spec, I was going to try to tighten it up while still being in the spec range.

When pulling the carrier out of the axle, mark every bolt and shim to make sure they go back exactly where they went. If you mix them up, you run the risk of changing your gear alignment.
