Post Leveling my Jeep

I am putting in a 1.75" front coil spacer and .75" rear coil spacer to level out my jeep. I have a large push-bumper/grill guard that is pretty heavy and wanted to stack a .75" front coil spacer on top of the 1.75" front coil spacer mentioned earlier to eliminate rake. All spacers are from the same manufacturer, is this possible/ safe? Thanks in advance.

Get with RC or Teraflex, they make 2.5in spacers I believe. Same difference with no stacking.

Not to hijack the thread...but....

I also am adding a bumper, the weight is about 140 pounds. I have been told that the front plastic with bumper weighs about 35 pounds so the net added weight will be about 105 pounds. I was thinking of doing 1 3/4 spacer up front and 3/4 in back. My goal is to fix the rake/drop from the added weight and also give it a bit of a boost.

My questions: 1. Will this work, or is there a better way?
2. What brand of spacer should I go with??

Thanks!!

Default Similar Thread

I had run a thread a day or two ago with the similar challenge. See link below. Bottom line: a leveling kit is pretty much negated when you put a new (heavier) bumper and a winch on the nose. I've ordered new OME coils to replace the stock. They're supposed to come in tomorrow and I'll install this weekend. Pics (before and after) to follow this weekend.

Anyone else know if the 1 3/4 spacer up front and 3/4 in back will work for me??

I saw Jaime's post but his bumper with the winch looks alot heavier than what im adding...

Also, if it makes a difference I have a 4 door Rubi...

if you decide to use spacers to level + add height, I have a pair of teraflex 2.5" front spacers and 1.75" front spacers if you're interested. I'm offering the 2.5" ones on e-bay for $60 (includes shipping). They have never been installed, paid $78 or so for them but didn't end up needing that much lift, just want to get some of that money back. either size may be good for all that weight. ebay search "JK Wrangler Teraflex 2.5" Front Coil Spacer Pair"

in any event, good luck

it sounds like it should work, I have that same set up in my jeep on top of my lifted springs and it worked. as for brand of spacers I would just get the cheaper ones, there is not much science on a bunch of pucks. my friend used tj spacers up front and they worked just the same.

With just the ARB bumper I am about 1.5" lower in the front than the back. That is probably about .75" factory rake plus .75" because of the bumper. If your bumper weighs the same (probably similar) and you add 1.75 in the front and .75 in the back you will net 1 inch in the front which will bring you pretty close. Personally I would like to keep some rake because you do get better mileage and less wind noise and .5" is not that much of a difference when you look at it.
