I just installed the Rusty's 2" coil lift with shocks and its great. It rides better than stock and clears my 35" bfg a/t's. I still need to get wheel spacers because the tires rub when I take a sharp turn. The kit was real easy to install. I did it by myself in about 4-6 hrs and I'm no mechanic. The only issue is the shocks dont come with the bushings installed and the rear shocks are tough to get the bushing in. Do yourself a favor and have a shop press them in. I spent an hour trying to do it, my local meineke did both of them in 20 minutes. I gave the guy a $20 and he was happy. Oh btw the Rusty's kit is really affordable to and a US company.

I went with the Rock Krawler 2.5" Max travel and Bilstein shocks. Great combo for on and off road, rides better than the stock suspension. It's the most complete kit available, even includes the quick disconnects and brake lines. With 2.5" you can run 33 or 35's.

Checkout a thread I started regarding the same subject:

35's are nice, but 33's are definitely more practical for a daily driver. If you do the 35's, you will get worse gas mileage, will want to re-gear, will need a new spare carrier. However, they do look much cooler!!

Hey JKDave... I see you have a two door. What other mods did you have to do associated with the TF lift and rough total cost for a clean safe lift. I use my JK for DD with kids on the interstate, so one of my biggest concerns as a 50 year old dad of four is not making a dangerous mistake.

I got the Teraflex 2.5" spring lift and Bilstein 5100 + 3" shocks all for around 700 bucks. No drive shaft mods were needed.
Tereflex does offer a 2.5" kit with shock extensions if you dont want to spend the money on shocks right now.
Before the Teraflex kit i just ran a 2" spacer lift with shock extensions,They both ride well and have good on road manners, i just went with the spring lift for more articulation.off road.
I highly recommend calling NORTHRIDGE 4X4 for pricing if you decide to go with Teraflex, they always seem to have great deals.

No matter what system you go with for a 2" or 2.5" system, really try to get a front track bar. It makes a big difference to not have the front axle dog tracking down the road!
