Question Lifted and having overheating issues

I have a 2014 Unlimited S with only 3k miles on it. There is a 8 inch lift and 35 inch tires. When going up a steep grade the Jeep is stating it is getting warm, however the motor does not feel warm. It is also shutting down to 4 cylinders (so it feels) and RPMs are up to 4k. Has anybody else experienced this and if so what was the fix, or does anybody have suggestions. Yes I could take it to the dealer, but instead of having them say that's its because of the mods and having it black listed I was hoping someone on here could advise.
Thanks

What gears? How much added weight? Anything blocking the radiator? Is it engine heat, or transmission? Would a heat reduction hood help?

Does the new Penstar 3.6 disable cylinders? I didn't know that. Pics of the lift?

Stock gears- 3.73. Nothing blocking it and its not actually getting hot on the motor- checked it with a heat gun. Its like the computer or the eco mode is getting confused and telling it its hot but its not. It possible could be temp sending unit, but I am thinking more computer and eco issue confused with the tires and lift. I put a basic programmer on it for speedo and calibration. But that didnt help.
thanks for any suggestions.

I'm aware of several transmission temp issues, but not overheating on the 3.6. Any codes? It's a brand new rig, take it to the dealer for an inspection

I have never driven a 3.6, so can't do a direct comparison, but for my gutless 3.8 this is absolutely normal behavior. No power and high rpms going up steep grades.

Could it be that you are just not used to the brick-like aerodynamics of a Jeep JK? Add in the loss of aerodynamics from an 8" lift, plus the bigger tires, roof rack, plus the added weight from bumpers/winch/side armor/etc and ...
