Try this. I had the exact same problem and someone on the Wrangler Forum came through and posted this link for me. I did it and so far so good.

I cut the cup in half, forced the terminal back on the post and...Tight as a drum head and NO MORE LIGHTS!!!
This makes sense for my situation. The last thing I did was install my winch about 2 months ago. Thanks.

This description is 100% the same issues I am having, so the battery terminal fix sounds like the right approach. I will do this and report back. Thanks for the write up!!

Hey guys - I am the author of that blog. Please keep me posted on that fix.

Right now, based on feedback, it is for certain the leading cause of those symptoms. I am trying to follow up with everyone to track their success.

My Jk started doing it again this week, so until you upgrade the terminals, prepare on retightening every 2-3 months.

That's good to know. I sure do appreciate the time you took to do that. It makes me wonder what other people do who don't read this forum. Even the service department at my dealership, including the one technician I trust to work on my Wrangler, don't know about this simple fix to an annoying problem.

Agree. Its expensive for them too. They swapped the sway bar disco motor on mine and countless hours of diagnostics. When I told them I found the issue, they did not seem interested either.

Go figure.

Bump...has anyone else tried this and has it resolved the issue? Oddly enough, my issue went away, but came back yesterday while driving through a construction zone where it was really bumpy...I will be tightening my terminals today or tomorrow to see if it works on mine or not.

I have had one reoccurrence since the initial tightening. I opened the hood and could tell the negative terminal was loose so I tightened it again. I will eventually swap for some better connectors.

I asked this last month and I will ask it again, what is the code in the ABS system?

In the link to the blog the tech actually give you a lot of information. The code for implausible ABS signal is the problem area. If you what the actual code number was then you would have an area to start checking.
Probably a damaged wheel speed sensor or wire to the sensor.

Was the one reoccurrence less than what would have probably occurred? Or was your problem pretty infrequent?
